Advancing Progressive Judaism

Friends of Kol HaNeshama, Inc.

Kehilat Congregation Kol HaNeshama is an active center for progressive Judaism in Jerusalem. It was founded in 1986 upon the core Jewish value of equality and mutual responsibility. The congregation serves as a focal point for Jewish pluralism and social action across Jerusalem. It is one of the largest and most influential Reform congregations in Israel.

Affiliated with the Israel Movement of Progressive Judaism, KKH promotes the values of pluralism, egalitarianism, Zionism, social justice (tzedek hevrati), and volunteerism. Kol HaNeshama is a caring and supportive community where people pray, learn and engage in Jewish education, social and advocacy activities that promote equality, and celebrate life-cycle events in a pluralistic and meaningful way.

KKH has established deep connections with congregations and rabbis across North America. Over the years, partnership programs with young people have deepened their understanding and links with Israel.
